2. The short version

This website is an informational site. We do not require accounts, we do not use advertising trackers, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not sell data. Personal data is processed only where technically necessary to deliver the site, when you contact us, or when you book an appointment through our scheduling provider.

3. Hosting and server logs

Our websites (meliacred.com and dinners.meliacred.com) are hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technical connection data (IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser and operating-system information) in server logs to deliver the site and to ensure stability and security. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure, reliable provision of the website). Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by Vercel’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Log data is retained only as long as required for these purposes.

4. Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of your message) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We retain correspondence as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and thereafter only as required by statutory retention periods.

5. Appointment scheduling (Calendly)

For booking calls we link to Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. Calendly processes the data you enter there (name, e-mail address, chosen time slot) only when you actively use the booking page. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by Calendly’s Data Privacy Framework certification and Standard Contractual Clauses. Calendly’s own privacy notice applies in addition.

6. Web fonts

Our sub-site dinners.meliacred.com loads the typefaces Fraunces and Inter from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When that page loads, your browser transmits your IP address to Google so the fonts can be delivered. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (uniform, performant typography). 7. External links and social media

Our pages link to external services (LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Substack, Calendly, partner organisations). No data is transmitted to these providers by merely visiting our site; their terms and privacy policies apply once you follow a link. We maintain a LinkedIn company page; for the “Page Insights” statistics LinkedIn Ireland and we act as joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR) under LinkedIn’s Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum.

8. No tracking, no profiling

We use no analytics or advertising trackers and no cookie banners are required, because the site sets no cookies requiring consent. We do not engage in profiling or automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; competent for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Düsseldorf.
